Avengers: Age of Ultron & Marvel Marathon

March 5, 2015

If you haven't already seen the 3rd Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer or any of the other trailers, then you need to get your life together because these. friggin. ROCK! Not only is this movie directed by the almighty Joss Whedon, but this trailer also features a two-second teaser of Vision at the end. All of that is already enough to get me excited! Plus, it's Avengers!

The official release date has already been marked for May 1st, but just in case you need a little more Marvel goodness, there are a some theatres offering double features--meaning you can watch the first Avengers back-to-back with the new Avengers: Age of Ultron!

The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood is having this exact double feature on April 30th at 4pm. Tickets are $30, but includes a 130 oz metal popcorn tub (with unlimited refills) and a scoop of Ghiradelli's ice cream. This seriously sounds like such a great deal and if I didn't have prior work commitments, I would be there in a heartbeat!

And if that wasn't enough, you can also participate in a Marvel Marathon hosted by AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas.
According to their description, it's considered the ultimate Marvel Marathon because it features 11 Avengers movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe back-to-back. It starts on April 29 at 4pm and lasts for approximately 1.5 days! Here is the line-up from AMC:

6:00pm IRON MAN
8:25pm THE INCREDIBLE HULK
10:35pm IRON MAN 2
1:00am THOR
3:10am CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER
5:30am THE AVENGERS
8:48am IRON MAN 3
11:15am THOR: THE DARK WORLD
1:45pm CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
4:20pm GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
7:00pm AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (RealD® 3D)
And according to Comicbook.com, those who last through the entire marathon will receive a Marvel Medal to add to their collection.

Don't even question it. Just stop talking, watch this trailer, and go to the marathon.

  1. It's crazy how much the Marvel brand has grown with these movies and the success that they've seen. Disney was smart to acquire them and they're smart in handling them. I'm excited for Avengers! Ultron looks great.
